The Serrano was not meant to compete with the Chronarch or the Core - no one ever said it was. It was made to compete with and outperform the Revo and the Curado and all of the reports that I have read said that it will hold up it's end of the bargain, otherwise I wouldn't fool with them. More importantly, it was made SPECIFICALLY for inshore applications.
Is it a Chronarch? Nope. But it's a damn good reel...
