Seems like most of us have stories like that, maybe not as bad though.

The last time I went to Rockifeller, I had a couple spots of real bad luck, but followed by great luck that it wasn't a whole lot worse. On the way there, the trailer popped off the hitch. Safety chains caught it, but one broke and the trailer smashed my tailgate. Amazing that the boat stayed behind me and didn't have an extreme launch into the bayou that runs on the right side of the road down to Rockifeller (just picture that one in your head). Nothing was too damaged besides the tailgate, and we were close to the launch, so we went fish anyway. Not a thing all day. Right as we are turning back into the main canal going back to the launch, where there are rocks on both sides, we hit something, the prop loses its bite, we spin around, and end up beached on the left side. However, we slowed down enough to where we didn't hit hard and were able to push the boat back into the water (after checking for no holes). Then the truck ran out of gas on the way back, but right before the gas station.
