I want to preface this by saying that I believe in the prophecy, the birth, the life, the death and the resurrection, of Jesus Christ. But, I am still a flawed man. I cuss way too much and probably drink too much beer (on occasion.)
I'm not rich but live a happy life.
Jesus tells us not to act like the hypocrites in the Synagogue and to pray quietly. ( I don't remember the actual verse)
I am always leery of the salesman who waves a Christian flag. Many a dishonest salesman claim to be something they are not. Taking advantage of the Christians good nature.
I believe that as Christians in business, it is more important to be just in our dealings and conduct our business with a set of values. If we make our business decision based on values we can't go wrong.
Sponsorship
As a businessman, I still have to make money and at the end of the day, I have to sell product.
For those few people that I sponsor, They must also be person's of character, because you never know who is watching. They must have a certain set of competitive angling skills and the ability to reach out on talk to people of all different level.
Sponsored anglers plant seeds by promoting the value of a product(not just monetary value either).
Last but not least, many competitive anglers sale themselves for products they don't believe in. I hope that as my business grows, those anglers that I sponsor are a enthusiastic about my products as I am. If they are, the potential customer will see it.
That's just Charlie's $.02
