Everything Billy does is legit. The only thing that isn't legit is posting up and whining about it without ever telling Billy the whole story and asking him to replace it under warranty. "I broke my rod today and I want to order another one" isn't the same thing as "My rod snapped while fighting a fish and I'd like you to replace it."
I'm not sure how you expected your post not to be taken as a knock against Billy.
Kudos to Billy for stepping up and taking care of it.
