Fished there Saturday because Hopedale was shut down. Water was nice. Wind is always the problem there. We had to move up into the Texaco canals which was heavily weeded about 11:30. Periods of heavy rain seem to push alot of freshwater thru Lake Salvador into Bayou Perot and Bayou Rigolettes trashing water clarity. Lower ends of Bayou Perot into Little Lake usually holds some fish. You can run thru the "Harvey cut" and east along Bayou St Denis working the broken marsh IF you don't have a heavy S or SE wind. We picked up alot of 16-18" drum along with several nice reds early in the area before the wind blew us off the water. If wind is an issue and you can't get out ,you can always work the "rocks" on the Barataria waterway just south of the "pen" opening. You can always get a few reds/drum/flounder keeping you from a busted day.....
