Coast Guard Oil Inspector Subcontractors!!!
 

I was sitting on one of my favorite ship channel holes fishing today after coming in from offshore and as I was sitting there some guy pulls up in one of those aluminum cabin boats and tells me he and the other similar boat are working for the coast guard checkiing boats coming in from offshore for signs of oil. He told me that since I did not stop when flagged down by his buddy that he was going to take my boat numbers and report me to the coast guard as being non-compliant! So I told him to go ahead and I did not care who he was and all I know is that he was right on top of the reef I was fishing and to get the hell out of the way. :shaking:

This guy had no official marking on his boat and got nervous when I stood up to him. By the way I saw their two boats on the west side of the jetties when I reentered from the gulf but never saw one flag me down. One was following me up the channel but I thought he was hanging close to me since I was chopping down the waves for his flatbottom aluminum boat.

I doubt they will do anything.

i popped off at the cg/ wlf @ breton island they wrote our boat #'s down never did anything else . dude would even give me the gps corrd. of closures so i asked if he wanted me to give them to him from THEIR website !

I would not worry......sounds like they are worse than MALL COPS......

exactly...some people crave power so much that when finally given a tad bit they take it way too far...coonasses are the worst!

oh, i could care less if he reports me. All I cared about at that time is that he was right freakin on top of where I was casting and catching trout! :pissed:

Yeh when me and specksndasurf got back to the landing at jetties Sunday they had some guys that were in WLF t-shirts launching a bay boat. The guy asked if we saw any oil. We said no. We asked him if there was any oil around the lake. He was like "We hope not." Dudes were some d-bags.

With a name like Waltrip I doubt it.

waltrip might not be a native name of louisiana...but he is a coonass i promise !
