Sometimes the bait and fish are in really close [like 10 feet] to the beach. If you fish where the rock breakers are located it is fairly shallow behind the rocks and deeper between the "breaks". I have caught some Red's right behind the rocks.

If the wind is out of the south......usually the water will be dirty and the trout will be gone. You may catch a Redfish or two.

The first hour or two of daylight.....topwater bite is fairly good. Later....soft plastic or live bait.

I would not advise trying to climb onto the rock breaker. The rock are very very slippery.
