Default The end of duck season

Well guys i don't know about ya'll, but im glad duck season is over. We ended the season with a total count of 547 birds killed. The first split i hunted hard, but the second split i didn't hunt as much due to the work load at my job. The begining of the season the birds worked really well to the call and the decoys, but the second split was alot harder to decoy them. We tried taking decoys out, and not calling as much we even tried hunting the grass. I really don't think we got any new ducks in our area as the season went on. We still had alot of grey ducks, but they got smart real quick and we didn't have as much teal the second split as we did the first split i mean they just disappeared. All in all it was a real good season any way got to spend time with freinds and family, and the best of all my 9 year old son. He killed his first duck this year and he can't wait for next year to get after them already. Me i'm ready to start catching some bass. My dad's neighbor has been catching them on the sabine river so i'm ready to make a trip with him.
