The Feds and the state are so screwed up, it amazes me everyday! I am posting this here, instead of the hunting forum since I think it deserves more notice and exposure for debate, and is not a true "hunting report".
I have just read that one proposal in the upcoming changes to the LA. hunting regulations is to require non-toxic (steel shot) on private lands as well as WMA's for the shooting of blackbirds, crows, cow birds, etc. Really, I mean this time of year I let my kids mow them down and make a jambalaya. Lead shot is almost too expensive to allow them to continue doing what they enjoy so much and it keeps them off the street and out the house. Now, I know they won't be able to do it any longer w/ the steel shot requirements!
• Amending the language pertaining to the take of crows, blackbirds, cowbirds and grackles on private land and WMAs due to a change in federal regulations. Non-toxic shot and an annual report submitted to USFWS will be required.
