Friday Trout Bite!
Friday morning started and ended just like Thursday. Capt Gerald Ellender had a great day catching 100 fat trout with Ed Villien, Gene Pool and Chad Courville from Lafayette, La. Everything caught on glow swim baits. I had postponed 4 previous trips for Ed because of the wind. He finally whacked the fish and it was big fun on the DU! Friday evening John Duke & Craig Fuson fished with me. Craig lives in TN and its hard for him to keep up with the fish so he likes to hire me every now & then to keep him in the loop. We found the trout at our 2nd stop after leaving the camp at 4:00 PM. The water was clean & clear and the fish were on fire in a frenzy and eating up big time. In 38 minutes we were done! John even caught some on bare jig heads and I was catching them 3 & 4 at a time on 2 double rigs that I tied together. (Just wanted to see if it could be done) You just don't see that king of action everyday! Good luck fishing.
