Well back home we got some big tide laundry detergent bottles and sealed the cap. We fished 4 main depths where we fished, 30, 35, 40, 45 foot depths. For each depth we cut 2 extra foot of line, ended with 32, 37, etc...Here is what we did for anchoring it and I wish I still had pictures. We would get either a 5 or 7.5 lb plate weight from academy and JB weld a couple 2in nails that were bent at an angle to snag and hold the bottom. Never had a problem bringing them up. Caught some big blue cats on whole shad or sunfish. Used some heavy duty cord too.
