Hot fishing and catching remains the order of the day on BIG LAKE. Limits of speckled trout and redfish continue to come to the dock each day. Yesterday morning Guy Stansel, Woody Ledbetter and Buzz went out for a couple of hours and smacked some solid trout on Mirrolure and Corky top water baits. As the day warmed up live shrimp and soft plastics became the order of the day. Clear water at the jetties and along the beach has been producing good catches of trout for anglers both drifting and wading with artificials. Night fishing on big lake is cool and productive for fishermen that can stay up after the sun goes down.
