Brought my coworker down to the marshes of the big lake today to tackle some bronze backs despite the lousy weather. Ran to one of my favorite marsh spots and quickly got to work. I started the morning off with a black and chartreuse skitterwalk and within my 3rd cast a 30" horse slammed the bait in less than 1ft of water. From that point on it was game on as bait in the pond began going ape $hit and we picked them apart until the winds picked up and we had our 2 man limit by 0830. We could have sat in that spot and picked them apart but decided to move in search of new grounds. It didn't matter the fish were all over the place. We caught majority of the fish with saltwater assassins in chicken on a chain color on a red jig head. Since the winds were bad and we fished the windward shore we camped out facing the broken marsh points waiting for fish to bust on the bait, then would follow up after they broke the surface. The water was much like yoohoo and I had to abandon sight fishing. Here is our catch: (we only kept the eating size fish)
Once I get the other image downloaded from the regular camera I will post it up.
