i had the pleasure of fishing the speck tacular july 3. we waded the whole day looking for a big girl. we started on the north end of the lake and went south from there. the day and water became better as the day went on. we picked up 8 specks and 1 flounder and i lost my a triple tail at the boat. that was the first time i have found one in the lake. i was wading by just north of long point when i saw the fish under a crab trap float. i waded right up to it and it did not care i was there. i will get em next time. i had a blast fishing with trophytroutman and zork. these guys were funny as heck and just dang fun to fish with. it was zorks fist time on lake calcasieu and he found most of the fish sun. all fish were caught on soft plastics in pink and glow, and texas roach colors. thanks guys and i cant wait to meet back up at the saltycajun tourny.
