Dularge Reds!
Enjoyed another great week of fishing on the DU! Not much in the way of trout as we ran redfish trips all this week. Trout fishing has been spotty and the numbers have been few. For those that don't mind catching reds we've been whacking the bronzebacks hard to give our customers their moneys worth. A total of 142 reds were caught in 5 trips with everyone having a good time. Not quite ready to give up on the trout just yet as we should see the action pick up as we get closer to the August moon. Until then the reds are plentiful and we have all the best colors in the Bayou Chubs to get the job done. BTW, if you like to catch bull reds the big brutes are starting to gather around Coon Point and Whiskey Pass. On my last 2 trips to these areas we came across huge schools on the surface with hundreds of fish. Not very good eating but fun to catch!! Good luck fishing.
