Oh, almost forgot. We would have probably added another dozen or so fish BUT a major snafu occurred. We caught bait on the first canal in Deatonville before headed to the wharf. We ran out of bait around 3 am so we made a run up there in the tahoe to get a bit more. I cast the net maybe 10 times and had over 100 mullet and pogey but mostly mullet. So, we put the bait in a minnow bucket and hang it off the wharf to keep 'em alive. You might know where I am going with this.
Somehow, in all the mess between pullin up the bucket and putting it back in the water the damn lid does not shut.
I pull up the bucket and only have 3 or so pogeys and 1 shrimp in there. Lost ALL the live bait! ! ! Oh, well time to clean up and turn out the lights at 4 am and head back to moss bluff.
