it's the same bayou, but further over. it literally connects between the teche and vermilion. but, on the vermilion side, you can only go so far then you have to cross lake charlo and most of the time it's very shallow. only cross when the water is high, but still beware. i don't bother venturing past the fork where it turns away from the airport even on high water. too much potential for getting stuck and expensive repairs. but, there are quite a few old gravel pits that are connected to the bayou that make the fishing pretty good. it may not be the best, but it's good for a quick trip where you don't have to drive too far.
