yes....... Robert did actually. He took a 15" galvenized nail and blunted the tip to make it flat. He un-screwed the nut and knocked the eyelet and sleeve back through. Another problem is that the steering wheel "pops" when turning it.

We still have to take motor off and replace the tube. It is all pitted inside on the top. I took a pic of the nail and the rod/sleeve/eyelet combination, but some how my phone didnt save them.
