You still having bad back pain? If so ask your doc if you are candidate for a peripheral nerve stimulator. I had a one week trial a few weeks ago and it was the first time in years that I had little to no pain. I am having a permanant on put in next Wednesday. The goal of it is to reduce your pain not completly releave it. With that said it doesn't work for everyone but it is a better alternative than major surgery. Just a thought.
