Reading posts like this is why I feel it is our responsibility to protect our firearms from getting into the hands of criminals. I also have 4 children in our home. For reasons like this is why I chose to own a proper gun safe. Yes, they are expensive but, the cost of a proper safe is nothing considering the costs of the hazards to curious kids and hardened criminals. My heart goes out to you and your family. Glad noone was home and no worse news was to read about it. Thieves seem to be getting worse lately, and are now venturing into places we never experienced before. Sorry for your loss buddy.
