Its a huge lake with many little bayous and creeks to go play around in. 40 feet deep in the main channels of the lake, to 20 ft channels in the creeks, very scenic as well. The state park rents very nice cabins for very reasonable prices, and there is a lighted pier as well, fun for the family. If you don't like to pole fish for white perch, you can set out some yo-yos and you will have plenty by morning. Lake is full of every kind of fish and big fish and not difficult to catch. There was a 15 or 16 lb bass caught out of there a few years ago. Buddy caught a 10 this summer fishing a tournament.

DO NOT GO TO CANEY LAKE IT IS A HUGE GARHOLE
tryin to go outside of Louisiana. Will probably be me n dad... maybe mom. and a few of our buddies. Probably 3-4 boats. no kids. lots of partying going on
