another family friendly place is Lake Claiborne located in North Louisiana. Pretty hills, tons of deer, and gorgeous lake. Never got to fish it, but worked there for a few weeks last year in the dead of winter. Snowed a few times and the lake was icy along every bank with icycles (sp?) every where. Pretty water in the lake too
