Gotta "match the hatch" as they say. Those fish are feeding on Cocahoes in the marsh during fall and winter. You could also bring a minnow trap &/0r castnet to catch your own minnows and shrimp. If you catch a crab, crack it and put it on a hook on the bottom. Reds and drum will inhale it. Dead bait shrimp works in a pinch too.
As for arties, use any dark plastics w/ a chartreuse or fire tail fished real slow bumping the bottom. Gulp works good during this time also. Spoons like Mr. Champs and Wobble Rites can be deadly as anything you may throw in this area.
