I have read an article recently of a guy in FL who raises cougers in captivity and had a litter of kittens with a dark grey pigment which looks like it may turn to a black coat as they get older. Just goes to show that a couger very well may be capable of a dark (if not black) color change. Artcle had pictures also.

There are no black panther, cougar, jaguar, or jaguarundi pics in LOUISIANA. There are cougars in Louisiana, there are NO large WILD black cats in Louisiana
