I'm a UL student and I've decided that i'm tired of only being able to duck hunt on weekends I can make it home(Bienville parish). So i'm starting to look around for spots to hunt on public land, mainly for next season but possibly a few second split hunts this year. I have everything needed including a 14ft flat with a 25hp.

So my question is where would you recommend me trying. I don't mind putting in time or effort to get to a spot. I've hunted WMA's around Columbia so i'm fairly familiar with that type of set up and the fact that they are generally crowded, but hey the early bird gets the worm. I would be interested in any options within a hour and a half of Laffy.
