Can't be running a trolling motor. If you do it right you don't need a motor anyway. A day like tomorrow will be a good example. Launch upstream, and take the current created by the runoff. Logs and other crap float downstream, sometimes even a canoe. All you need the paddle for is to steer. Keep your hand in the water with the paddle, creating a rudder. That is it.
