i know it's on the upper end of what you want to spend, but to me the shimano Chronarch CH200e7 is probably the best bang for the buck in that range. it's pretty much screw for screw the exact same as the Curado CU200e7 that everyone loved and raved about. they're awesome reels.
if you want to stay more around the $100-150 mark, i would consider the lew's speed spool or tourney speed spool. my customer reviews have been very good and i haven't had any complaints about them yet.
