270 is a very straight shooter and has enough power to get the job done--My 13yr old son has been using this round for 7 years now and smacks the B'Jesus out of everything he shoots at from pigs to Red Deer Dead! My 7 yr old daughter shoots it with "Reduced Recoil" loads and it makes it like a 243-- I shot a Axis doe with it at 485 yds last year and dropped her right behind the shoulder--3 weeks ago a Spanish Ram at 385 yds--so I do like this round and the ammo is alot cheaper than some of the 7mm Mag rounds I shoot.
