Default BL - Friday 1/27

Haven't been out in way too long, so I couldn't pass up a calm day. Hit the lake for a few hours (7a-10a) with father-in-law, and we were greeted with a light north wind and a few hungry trout. The original plan was to head south, but with the north wind, I figured we would make a stop up north. Fished a couple of reefs in Turners and the trout were hungry but the bite didn't last long. Headed mid-lake and found a few redfish mixed in with the trout. Nothing too big, but didn't need to measure anything. The north wind died, and it was dead calm for about an hour, and then it shifted to the E/SE. There was very little tide movement. Given the weather and the crappy tide, I was pleased. We finished the day with 14 trout and 3 reds. Most of the trout caught on chartreuse gulp curly tails and glow/chart sand eels. Definitely better than work.
