Thanks for all the suggestions....I ended up taking it to Trailers of Louisiana on HWY 90 by daspit rd.... I was going to do it myself, but the integrity of the trailer itself is suspect.....Only 4 yrs old and has corroded really bad (but just at spot where the brackets for the runner meet the trailer). The guy there suggested a whole new trailer. It will cost 400-500 bucks to have the work done and it would only be a matter of time before the trailer rusts completely through. I hate to spend that kind of money now if I'll end up dropping 1200 on a new trailer next yr.

To make matters worse, the bolt on the bracket that broke gouged the crap out of my boat. May end up having to have some welding done too.....
