LDWF sprays the lake for water hyacinth and common salvinia. Hydrilla was the 'grass' that was in the lake years ago. Grass carp were placed in there in order to remove it. They will not eat the floating vegetation though. Fortunately, this body of water is small enough where managing these invasives is still feasible. Likely, it will never be eradicated, but can be maintained so that people can still fish and boat on the lake. Salvinia = the devil and I see it more and more in our bodies of water
