South la weekend report
Had two friends from LaRose, La in town for a weekend of bass fishing or GREEN TROUT as they call it down da bayou. they could not have picked a more beautiful weekend weather wise or a more ugly weekend bass fishing wise.
We fished the teche in Patterson Sat from 6:45-4:30 and managed 20 or so with only 4 keepers. The bite was painfuly slow with the only baits producing being a sinko and baby brush hog...S.L.O.W.......we did see a bald eagle and got within 20ft from this beast before it took off...could not get a pic because of the sun in the background. we also managed to catch a goggle eye and a snake.
Sunday we fished lake Martin from 6:45-12:30 with 6 fish on frog and sinko....again Very Very slow. Did see severel Tree Shakers.......We joked that Troy Landry would have a stroke if they let him set eyes on that place.
All in all even though the fishing was slow it was a great weekend spent with Great people!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you all had a great weekend on the water :-)
