The Calcasieu Parish Sherriff Department responded to a call that a man was hanging upside-down in his boat in Lake Calcasieu, known by locals as "Big Lake". Upon arrival to mid-lake, they found Jeremy W. Waltrip hanging from the console rail by his shoe laces. Unfortunately, he could not reach his cell phone to call for assistance. Authorities report that Waltrip was in good spirits and that there was a limit of trout laying on the floor of the boat. Apparently, he could reach his rod 'n' reel but not the ice chest.
