The white seatrout and the sand seatrout are the same species,
Cynoscion arenarius.
The silver seatrout is a different species,
Cynoscion nothus, but often difficult to distinguish from the sand seatrout.

Growing up in LC, we called them all sand trout, but now we call them bait.
