Gas with an electric oven, pro chefs use gas. I have a Kenmore Dual Fuel and I love it. Stainless finish, gas stove with an electric warmer on it, electric oven with convection. If I ever have to replace it I'm going with the same thing. The only thing i would do different is get all the same BTU burners if at all possible.
Gas you can cook when the lights are out, I would also get a gas water heater for the same reason.
