There is a secret that I will share when it comes to finding undersized schools of trout. Have been doing this on Grand Isle when the 11 1/2" trout schools show up. Next time you are at Big Lake bring a 5 gallon bucket and fill it up with that magic water. If you find yourself in a school of small trout pour 1 gallon of the water around the school. 1 gallon will 'treat' 1000 fish. Let set for 10 minutes and then begin casting, the fish will have grown to legal size
