Yep, what he said. It involves more than just drilling 4 holes and bolting the jacklate on. If you don't spend the hours to properly set the rig up after installing a jackplate, it may hinder a sale. If both rigs were equal, I personally would buy the rig with no jackplate, it shows that you most likely did not marsh fish much.
