The law falls under "Careless Operation"... Causing damage or injury from your wake is against the law... (You are responsible for your wake, in a nutshell)
I carry a small handheld VHF for several reasons ... Weather reports, distress calls, and also calling out large vessels that won't cut you any slack !
You call that boat on your VHF by that vessel's name, and they will slow down... Big Brother is listening
