I would only consider getting a light weight stand made of aluminum. They will cost more but you will regreat getting a heavy steel stand to save some money.

Things to consider.......... do you bow hunt or only gun hunt. For gun hunting, a front rail is almost a must, but it gets in the way some for bow hunting.

The type of seat.....I like the "chair" type seat but lots of hunter like the "net" style. IMO, the chair gives much better back support for longer hunts in the stand.

I have a Summit Viper and have been using it for about 10 years. It is very comfortable and I often make all day hunts in the stand.
