For specks, you can just fish the cove, which is where the Quintana canal hits the bay. Launch is at Cypermort Point. Glow Psunami or any type cocohoe jig will work.
As long as you don't have a strong south or southwest wind, you should be alright in this area. If calm, you can go around the point to the area known as the hammock.
You can't miss it, all along the north bank, past the camps, boats are all over there
this time of year, weather permitting.
