Although I wouldn't recommend having a pistol in the house if you have kids, they're just too easy to be handling and accidentally hurt or kill someone. Lastly, yes I am a strong Conservative and I have been hunting and fishing since I was 5 years old. So please don't come back at me like I am some kind of "hippie/liberal." I am just disgusted at the fact that anyone thinks that they need an assault rifle and that America is going to go to fall apart if we ban the purchase of assault rifles. And let me just answer this question right now before someone asks, yes of course we all realize that this won't take all the assault weapons off the streets (do you think that we are stupid?). But if we stop the new purchase now, maybe a couple hundred years from now there will be very few still left in circulation.
