The cut you are talking about is deep, and can handle your boat with ease. Problem is, you better know when to zig and not zag as it gets very curvy closer to sister Lake. Best bet, you will need to follow a boat the first trip to mark the track because one wrong turn this time of year and you may be waiting for days for the water to come up high enough to get it out.

On another note, if you go that far south this time of year your success will not be as good. The trout are north and are being caught in Lake Decade, Jugg Lake, and even points further than that. My dad has a camp in Fisherman's Retreat and they did very well before the north wind this past week. Caught several trout over 4.5 lbs within 5 mins of his dock.
