Most of the time feeders are more for a treat and over time deer will learn to respond to the sound of it going off. I know a lot of guys say feeders are cheating and I agree to a point but when you have a lease with other hunters near its very hard to kill if you don't level the playing field.... I tried hunting two yrs without feeders on a lease and never saw a deer but I also enjoy hunting public land when I have time to scout and be in the woods longer.
