The good news is that while I still have a couple of months before I can get out of dodge, my children have already made their escape and I'm bringing my wife and boat down to LA next week in anticipation of my escape in May. Who knows, depending on the level of government shutdown, I may be able to complete my escape next week.

I'm sure it has. I have a good friend that still lives up there as well as family. They are all looking to leave in the near future as well.
I spent a good bit of my time there when I was younger. I mainly trampled around the Westminister area. It amazes and, saddens me to see how far that beautiful state has fallen from grace.
