Just moved to Metairie with my wife who is from here of course...Nawlins women always come back Ive figured that out!!

Anyway my question is where are some good places i can fish within 15-20 minutes of Metairie. Im not a great fisherman whatsover but really enjoy giving the fish a go. Ive been told to try the seawall along the lake is a good spot to bottom fish/tight line but not sure how solid that info was. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My father in law has a boat down at Myrtle Grove marina so im def aware of the great fishing in the marsh here and Im trying to gobble up as much info on that fishing now too, but i would also like to be able to hit the lake up here for some land based fishing too. Thanks
