Spinner baits are a close second choice. Get the H & H brand baits because you can change the jig heads and they are made from heavy wire that holds up good when catching Reds. They usually cost under $ 2 at Walmart or Academy.

I agree, nothing beats a gold spoon on top of Brackish water grass beds for redfish. I normally fish the 1/2 oz spoon.
One thing about the gold spoon is that you have to reel it relatively fast.
