You are correct Paul. I called the coast guard and the CPSO marine division today. I have attached the info from the coast guard on the 3 security zones. Both they and the sheriff's dept. said that there is no law on the books in regards to maintaining a specific distance from docks or shoreline. They advise to stay a safe distance away from any dock that has a vessel moored to it or that has people working on it. so if theres no specific distance to stay away fro the bank and coast guard tells u to move u have to move even tho u not in the way of anything?? im just confused
