Rig hooks are very dangerous. I use a rope with one end spliced and the other end open so the boat can pull it off if caught. Much better having a line shoot back at the boat instead of a chunk of steel or aluminum. That is only one of many ways they can hurt you. Rig hooks cause accidents. If I had my say they would not be allowed on boats.
Found some fish in dirty water at elf but the bite was over by 9:00. Still marked them for several hours but nothing I tried could excite any of them.
