I have never shot a 35 whelen. Forgive me if my first post was misleading. It was not my intention at all. I just compared the 30/06 data to the 35 whelen data from my reloading manual. Was just trying to give a power comparison. The 35 whelen is nothing more than a 30/06 case necked up to fit a .35 caliber bullet so recoil between the two should be about the same given that the same weight bullet is used. Again this is all info from my reloading manuals. Sorry if there was any confusion caused by me. J
