Read the manual, there are instructions on how to do this. If you have to order new seals, get an extra set to save on the S & H cost.

Like was said, hardest part is to get the prop off. You got to beat on it hard sometimes. Bring it over to my house and I will help you get it off.

But.....like you said, you may have just put too much grease into the shaft. Does your shaft have a "grease pot" sitting on top? This is spring loaded and when it is full, grease will come out of a small hole.

Seals are not hard to change out, just a little messy.
